Walk the Line

4:30Am Mom and Dad have taken turns sleeping tonight. It's Dad's turn in the sleep room. James has swollen quite a bit tonight and his little eyelids are purple. They are giving him 1/2 doses of the pain medication, walking a fine line in order to try to keep him just enough out of the pain zone, but not too far asleep. His congestion issues really complicate things more than we realized that they would He normally coughs quite a bit on his own, but his throat is sore, and while under sedation he's not coughing much. So, after a couple of hours, stuff accumulates in his lungs he starts a very loud wheezing, and they have to come in and suction it out.

I've been doing a lot of crying and praying. There are many repetitions of the words "cry out" in the bible. Going through them, you would see how merciful God is. Someone sent me a verse in Numbers earlier, so I was reading on, and in Numbers 20, I came to a place where it says, "when we cried out to the Lord he heard our cry, and sent an angel...." Yes, an angel. Well, God already sent me two little angels, so when we cry for one of them, I'm sure he hears.
